1995 Longleaf Pine

This ornament honors the State Tree of North Carolina, the long leaf pine. Pine trees are the most common trees grown in the state and is an important part of the history. During the Colonial and early Statehood periods, the naval stores made from pine tar were a vital part of the economy.
