TUSKEGEE AIRMEN

The Tuskegee Airmen were America's first Black military pilots and their support personnel, who served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. Shattering racial barriers, they compiled an exceptional combat record and their success paved the way for the desegregation of the U.S. military.
Were trained at the Tuskegee Army Air Field in Alabama. During World War II, they flew more than 15,000 individual sorties in Europe and North Africa where they gained recognition as The Red Tails for the uniquely painted red tails of their planes.

Was a red-tail P-51D flown by Lt. Robert Williams - a Tuskegee Airman – in 1945. He flew 50 combat missions from Italy with the 100th Fighter Squadron.

This metal model kit is made from high quality steel sheets. Each model features incredible detail with parts cut into one or more 4" square steel sheets. Easy to follow instructions are included with each kit and no glue or solder required! Simply snip out the pieces and bend the tabs through corresponding connection points.
